In November Jaan Jõgi and Sergei Suvorov, the habitual contractors
for the Q-GSM who are already well known and familiar at the Tartu Family
Radio by their works both in Võru and Viru, dismounted the antenna
and transmitter from the spire of the Otepää Church and installed
them in the Puka base station. The 96-meter mast renders it possible to
listen to the broadcasts of the Tartu Family Radio both in Otepää,
Valga, and Tõrva.
By the fall of 1999 the Tartu Family Radio had developed a morning
program with its own format and makers. Of the former pioneers only Meelis
Süld has remained. Raido Oras, Evar Post, Inge Rumessen, Ago Pärtelpoeg,
Aare Lutter, Toomas Nigola, Raul Veeber, Jaan Süld, Alo Kurvits, and
Jaanika Kolk have tested their skills in the meantime. Thanks to them and
the present trio of the morning program makers, Meelis Süld, Viive
Mäesarapuu, and Rauno Veri, the Tartu Family Radio has become an agreeable
awaker for many from one half of Estonia.
