The year is also connected with the airing of a very special series called “Advendisoov” [The Advent Wish]. Each Advent Sunday, following the broadcasting of the recording of that morning’s divine service, the listeners have, within about an hour and a half--depending on the length of the service--an opportunity to phone to the studio, give greetings to their loved ones over the radio, talk with program leaders, and request songs to be aired. This has been the most popular program of the Tartu Family Radio throughout all the years of its existence. Indeed, what can be better than to remember one’s friends, relatives, and other dear people on those pre-Christmas Sunday evenings. The Christmas tunes that sound again add to the homeliness of the program.
